Sandra’s Wedding

Sandra’s Wedding

Sandra contacted me last year and a trial was arranged almost immediately. She arrived with her lovely sister and we consulted on her preferred looks for the day. She settled for something really simple and elegant for her special day. Very pleased with her trial, Sandra booked me immediately for herself and 3 bridal party members.

I arrived on the day with my assistant to help with some of the party members.

On the bride, I started with my usual cleansing routine to prep her skin. Using my fingers, I massaged in Chanel Beauty Serum all over her face and down the neck to hydrate and plump her skin.

I groomed her brows and primed her eyes using MAC Paintpot in Constructivist. Using a fluffy brush I applied and blended out a mix of MAC bronze and Cranberry eyeshadows all over the lid and using a crease brush created dimension to the eyes by using MAC embark eyeshadow at the crease and softly blending out the edges to avoid any harsh lines. The eyes were finished by drawing a liner on the upper lid and a kohl pencil in the waterline. We later added strip lashes to enhance the eye look.

After the eyes I moved on to the skin by firstly priming with my favourite primer – Smashbox photofinish foundation primer and buffing in MAC studio fix foundation in a mix of NC50 and NC45. Her skin was quite clear without any prominent discolourations so there was no need to conceal except under the eyes. I then set with Ben Nye banana powder under the eyes and MAC mineralise skin finish in Dark Golden all over the outer perimeters of the face.

On her cheeks was a mix of Blushes from NARS and Sleek. Added extra glow to skin by dusting Bobbi Brown’s shimmer brick in Bronze all over the highest points of her face.

The look was finished off by lining the lips with NYX Slim pencil in Dark brown and a custom made lipstick to suit her skintone. She wanted something with a hint of nude pink and bronze.
