Olyvia’s Wedding

Olyvia contacted me middle of  last year – 2014 regarding her wedding and booked me straight on without a trial. We did do her consultation just 2 weeks ago. Her preference was a rose gold palette.

On the day I arrived, set up and began with her bridal party. There were 3 of them. The bride stepped out to have her hair done at the salon but arrived in good time for me to begin.

I started off with Skin prep on the bride, thoroughly Cleansing her skin using Bioderma and then adding hydration using Embryolisse Lait – Cream. One of my favourite Face creams for brides. A little goes a long way. I finally added a bit of balm to the lips, this will ensure her lips are well plumped and supple when its time for her lipstick.

After skin prep I moved on to the eyes. Reason I start with eyes? To allow her skin soak up the moisturizer and be able to wipe away any fallouts from the eyeshadows without disturbing the foundation.

Back to the eyes, as base I used MAC’s paintpot in Painterlay as a base for longevity of the eyeshadow. The main eyeshadow used was Cosmopolitan by MakeupGeek cosmetics . I then created depth and definition on the eyes by using different shades of light to deep browns and then Black. This was finished off by a black liner and strip lashes by Red Cherry.

Her brows were groomed with a combination of MAC’s spiked brow pencil, MAC’S Embark eyeshadow and Brow Set in Show-off.

Before her foundation, I prepped the skin further with Becca Ever Matte Poreless Priming perfector. Foundation used was MAC’s Studio Fix fluid in 3 shades – Nw40, 45 and 50. I seldom use only one shade. I then concealed any imperfections using a concealer in her exact shade. Under her eyes I applied MAC prolong wear concealer in Nw40, setting this with MAC studio fix powder in the same shade and then MAC blot powder in Dark and deep dark. Finished off on her skin by contouring and highlighting. Blush used was Breezy by MAC.

On her lips, I firstly lined the lips using MAC lipliner in Cork and then mixed couple of pink and coral shades to create a custom shade that suited her.

Really loved the finished look and she did too by the huge smile I got when I handed her the mirror to see the final look.
