Melanie’s Wedding

Beautiful Melanie booked me for her wedding without a trial required in 2017.

From our conversations I could straight away tell Melanie was a bride who knew exactly what she wanted and a perfectionist 🙂

I arrived at her prep location on the day – Three Rivers Golf and Country Club. Quickly checked on my beauty team who were working on her bridesmaids before starting on the bride.

Melanie is blessed with beautiful normal skin so prep was minimal. Embryolisse lait cream was applied all over her face down to her neck. I let that sink into the skin and began with her eyes.

She really wanted a glam yet natural eye look with a pearlescent finish. Filled in her brows using MAC brow pencil is Spiked followed by a clear brow gel to hold the hair in place. Her eyelids were primed using MAC paint pot in Laying low. I used the Lorac pro eye shadow palette to create this eye look finishing off with Ardell strip lashes in 12o.

Melanie was really happy with her eye look as she had concerns with her eyes looking small. I maintained the shape and made them look brighter.

Moving on to the skin, I gave the face a quick spray of Smashbox primer water to refresh the moisturiser added at the beginning. An orange corrector was used sparingly on just the areas of her face with pigmentation issues. Foundation used was Lancome Teinte Idole Ultra in a mix of 13 and 14. This was followed by Kevyn Aucoin The etherealist super natural concealer and set using Laura Mercier secret brightening powder. The rest of the face was set with Laura Mercier Loose setting powder in Medium deep followed by MAC studio fix powder sparingly applied to areas of her face needing a bit more coverage.

I added dimension to her face using MAC studio fix powder in NW58 and Becca shimmering skin perfector in Topaz. Blush used was NARS Dolce vita.

Melanie wanted really nude lips so I started with MAC lipliner in chestnut to build definition around the lips and filled them in using a mix of MAC half n half and Yash lipstick. This was finished off with a clear gloss added to the middle to create a sultry lip effect.

My bride was a vision when she wore her dress! Thank you so much for the booking, wishing you a blessed married life.
