Abena’s Wedding

Abena! My gorgeous Ghanaian bride. She booked me in 2017 without requiring a trial. She then further booked me for her 8 bridesmaids.

On her wedding day I arrived at her prep location – One Warwick Park Hotel at Tunbridge Wells. After making sure my assistants were settled I started work on Abena.

Abena is blessed with beautiful skin, no pigmentation issues or under eye circles. I always tell brides – skin regime is very important. You don’t have to wait till you get engaged, start taking good care of your skin at all times. That way you don’t become dependent on makeup to have a natural glowing skin.

Skin was prepped with embryolisse lait cream and Kiehls lip balm 1 applied to her lips.

Her brows were filled in using Anastasia Beverly Hills brow definer in Chocolate and combed through using a clear brow gel to hold hair in place. MAC paint pot in laying low was used to prep her lids before I created this champagne inspired eye look using Smashbox cover shot eye palettes in Ablaze and Matte. This was finished up with Ingot eyeliner in 77 and Ardell lashes.

To keep her skin glowing I mixed Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow with NARS all day luminous weightless foundation and buffed into her skin. I then brightened under her eyes using Kevyn Aucoin The etherealist super natural concealer which was set using RCMA no colour powder and MAC Studio fix powder in NC40/45 just to give an extra brightening effect.

Before setting the rest of her face using RCMA no colour loose powder, I used Kevyn Aucoin The liquid contour wand in deep to add definition to her face followed by Becca shimmering skin perfector liquid highlighter in Opal. Then I set the whole face and added Becca shimmering skin perfector pressed highlighter in opal to reinforce the glow which looked absolutely stunning! Blush used was NARS – Orgasm.

Before the look was completed, the bride had to finish up her hair with amazing hairstylist – Deborah Lola.

On her lips I used a mix of MAC lipliner in Cork and whirl followed by Delilah cosmetics lipstick in a mix of whisper and Honesty. This was finished off with a clear lipgloss added to the middle and blended out.

A moment of silence for how stunning Abena looks in her beautiful gown! Thank you so much for booking my services on your special day. It was such a pleasure working with you.
