Winnie’s Wedding

Winnie booked me February 2015 without a trial. She loved my work and her friends had been pressuring her to contact me as early as possible. Good choice as I was currently in talks with 2 other brides but Winnie was ready to book so had priority.

We communicated mostly through emails on her looks and spoke once or twice I believe. Even if a bride does not require a trial, I still love chatting with them on the phone.

On her wedding day I made my way to her prep location at Enfield. I started makeup on her mum before commencing on Winnie.

Winnie has dry skin so after cleansing I massaged in Embryolisse Lait creme to prep and hydrate her skin.

Her eyebrows were filled in using MAC brow pencil in Spiked and combed through with a clear brow gel to tame any fly-aways.

Gold was the shade required for her eye look but I noticed that was exactly the shade being worn by her bridesmaids. I decided to do a variation of the look by adding bronze and copper shades to the gold. Using all MAC cosmetics eyeshadows  – Gorgeous gold, Woodwinked, Amberlights, Bronze, Swiss chocolate, handwritten and Carbon. This was finished off by Inglot gel liner in 77 used to line both upper lid and waterline. Ardell Lashes in Demi wispies completed the eye look.

Next, I sprayed her face with MAC fix plus to add more hydration, I let this dry down before applying YSL Touche Eclat blur primer to the entire face. Foundation used was NARS luminous weightless foundation in MACAO. Under eye concealer used – MAC prolong wear concealer in a mix of NC42 and NC45. This was firstly set with MAC mineralised skin finish in Dark golden then RCMA no colour loose powder. The rest of the face was set using MAC mineralised skin finish in Dark.

To define the contours of her face I used Anastasia Beverley Hills contour powder in Ebony and on her cheeks I applied Becca shimmering skin perfector in Topaz. Blush used was MAC blush in springsheen.

For some reason I think her cheeks were calling for more highlight! I decided to add with a fan brush MAC highlighter in Oh Darling (limited edition).  This just brought her skin to life! Love it!

To finish her look I moved on to lips, Winnie wanted a really nude shade. I started by lining the outer edges of her lips using MAC lip liner in Chestnut. This was followed by MAC lipstick in Peachstock and a clear gloss patted over it for a sultry effect.

Winnie loved her look so much and declared ” I would marry myself if I could” LOL!!!

Thank you Winnie for the booking. Wishing you a happy married life.
