Toyin’s Wedding was another 2015 booking which was secured without a Trial. She did come in January with her bridesmaid and former Bridal client of mine – Yetunde for a consultation.
Her prep location was the fabulous Mercure Hotel in Greenwich.
I started off after setting up with my regular routine of cleansing and rehydrating the skin. Her brows were filled in using Anastasia Brow definer in Chocolate and set with a clear brow gel.
Her eye makeup was created using Lorac gold palette in the shade – Unleashed, and MAC eyeshadows in coppering, goldmine, embark, texture and carbon. I finished off on the eyes with my Ingot gel liner in 77 and Ardell lashes in 120.
After prepping her skin with No 7 Beautifully matte makeup base and some orange concealer to cancel out dark spots, I buffed in Lancome Teint Idol Ultra 24hr foundation in shades 12 and 13.
Under her eyes was brightened using Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin enhancer in 13 which was set using MAC studio fix powder in NC45 and the rest of her face with MAC studio fix powder in NC50.
Dimension was added to her face by contouring using Covergirl Queen collection Bronzer in Ebony bronze and highlighted using Becca Shimmering skin perfector in Topaz. Blush used was MAC Ambering rose.
On her lips I began by Lining the whole lip with MAC lipliner in Soar and unfortunately I can’t remember the exact shades I mixed to arrive at this particular colour as she changed her mind on the colour we chose at the trial. I had to mix a couple of pinks to get this hue. Using MAC lipliner in Currant, I went back to add more dimension to the lips.

It was also lovely catching up with her bridesmaids who are her childhood friends, I was their Bridal Makeup Artist on both their wedding days. I however did not work on them in this image.
