Marselle’s Wedding

My bride, the lovely Marselle contacted and booked my service early this year with no trial required. She was ever so kind to also book me into her prep hotel the night before the wedding – Hilton Hotel, London.

Can I just say that Hilton Bankside has one of the best breakfast service ever! I actually forgot I was working for a moment, they treat everyone like VIP’s. Huge thumbs up from me 🙂

I arrived at my brides room to meet the talented hairstylist – Hair by Abike putting finishing touches on Marselle’s hair.

After hair was completed I began work. She wanted her look on the matte side, so I started off by using Simple wipes to first take off any hair product residue across her face, followed by Garnier Micellar water for a deeper clean across the face and neck.

A spray of MAC fix + was used across the face for light hydration. Her brows were then filled in using MAC brow pencil in spiked.

To meet bride’s brief of a matte look I used only Matte Eyeshadows.

I can’t remember the exact shades used as I tend to mix and match as I go along but I do remember using – Anastasia beverly hills eyeshadows – Sienna and Warm taupe, Makeup Geek – Creme brûlée, MAC – embark and carbon. This was finished off with Ingot gel liner in 77 and Ardell demi wispy lashes.

On her face I applied a light layer of embryolisse lait cream followed by Becca ever matte perfecting primer. Foundation used was Lancome Teint Idole ultra in a mix of 3 shades – 14,15 and a little 16 for contour. To brighten the inner perimeters of her face I applied NARS creamy concealer in Amande and hazelnut which was set using Black up loose powder in 14. The rest of her face was set using MAC studio fix powder in Nw50.

I used a matte blush – MAC blush in Raizin. I did add a bit of shine to strategic places on the face for a subtle glow using Becca shimmering skin perfector in Topaz.

The whole look was finished off on the lips, I lined the outer lips using MAC lipliner in Chestnut followed by my favourite nude lipstick by MAC – Half n half. I added a tiny clear gloss to just the middle of the lips to make her lips look sultry.

Marselle looked absolutely stunning!!!
