Liz’s Wedding

My dearest bride – Liz, she has been following my beauty work in Blackhair Magazine for years. I wasn’t aware of this till she reached out to me last year and booked my services for her wedding without a trial.

We had a consultation session a week to her wedding to finalise looks to go with her hair. She was concerned about her hair colour working well with any makeup colour choice.  Liz was having a beautiful blonde hair (over 30 inches long) with a full fringe! Never had a bride with this hairstyle and was excited to see the finished look on the day. We decided smokey eye paired with nude lips would work wonders with the fringe.

On the wedding day I made my way to her gorgeous location – Leeds Castle, while a member from my beauty team went over to a nearby hotel to work on some members of her family.

Starting her makeup after hair prep was finished by Hair stylist – Dionne Smith, I cleansed her face and neck using Lancome Eau Micellaire Douceur and a pea sized amount of Embryolisse Lait creme concentre was massaged across her face and down her neck.

Her brows were not visible but were filled in with Anastasia Beverly hills brow definer in chocolate. I primed her eyelids with MAC paint pot in Constructivist and created smokey eyes using all MAC shadows in Shadowy lady, Trax, Embark and Carbon. This was finished off with a liner and drama lashes – Soul lashes in Tamar.

Face was primed using YSL Eclat Blur primer and using a Real techniques expert face brush, I buffed in NARS All day luminous weightless foundation in Cadiz and highlighted under her eyes using NARS creamy concealer in Caramel. This was set using a mix of Laura Mercier brightening powder and Sasha buttercup setting powder.

Defintion was added to her face using MAC mineralise skin finish in Dark deepest and shimmer highlight used was Becca shimmering skin perfector in Opal. To add colour to her face I used MAC blush in Dollypink all over her cheeks blending out towards her ears.

The whole was finished off on the lips using MAC lipliner in Cork around the lip edges and filling in with MAC lipstick in Lovelorn.
