Lauren’s Wedding

My bride – Lauren contacted me early this year to book my services for herself and bridal party. This was done without a trial. We did meet up some weeks before the wedding for a consultation. She arrived with her absolutely lovely mum.

Lauren has the most beautiful freckles all over her face and it was music to my ears to hear her say “Please do not cover my freckles”. The trial was one of the shortest I’ve ever done as she was so easy to work with and I met her brief.

On her wedding day, I made my way with a member from my beauty team who worked on her bridesmaids. I started with her mum and grandma before commencing with Lauren.

Her skin is normal to dry so I prepped her skin using a generous amount of my favourite moisturiser – Embryolisse Lait cream. I then filled in her brows using Anastasia Beverley hills brow definer in Medium brown. MAC eyeshadow in Swiss chocolate was added for a tint of red as her hair had a red undertone.

MAC’s paintpot in soft ochre was used to prime her eyelids followed by Lorac pro eyeshadow in the neutral shades. Lauren wanted a really simple eye look. I did not add lashes as Lauren had them done already. I know they are difficult to see but she has sparse lashes and added very natural individual lashes.

I added more Moisturiser as the embryolisse lait cream can also act as a primer. Foundation used was NARS all day luminous foundation in the shade Syracuse. I used just a pump on her whole face and then went in with a small concealer brush on any areas that needed extra coverage. Using a fluffy eye brush I applied NARS creamy concealer in Biscuit under her eyes to brighten. I then sprayed her face with MAC fix plus and went all over her face with a damp beauty blender sponge. A huge powder brush and ”very little” RCMA no colour loose powder was dusted all over her face to set the foundation.

Contour and highlight was done using MAC Dianne kendal quiktrick stick (limited edition). I used the lipstick she wore on her lips as a blush – MAC lipstick in Please me.

Finally her lips were lined using MAC lip pencil in Soar and filled in using MAC lipstick in Please me. MAC lipgloss in Cultured finished off the whole look.

Unfortunately I couldn’t stay to take pictures of Lauren in her dress as I had another booking 🙁

Thank you so much Lauren for booking my services, God bless!
