Jumoke contacted me January this year regarding her wedding and booked me without a trial.
I dont think we spoke that much and only met for the first time on her wedding day, I was booked for a whooping 12hours! This was because she had both her traditional and white wedding done on the same day.
It was an early start on the wedding day and I arrived already pumped with 2 cups of coffee knowing a long day awaited me. It did help that Jumoke and her bridesmaids were incredibly nice people and you could tell the bond they shared was very deep.
I started Jumoke’s makeup with my usual cleansing and hydrating routine. Brows were then groomed using MAC brow pencil in Spiked.
Jumoke’s first outfit was a beautiful yellow gold lace paired with a gold head tie. Using my latest purchase, the Violet Voss holy grail eyeshadow palette, I created a beautiful hue of gold and a touch of cranberry and pink. This was finished off with drama mink lashes.
Moving on the skin, I prepped her skin using Becca ever matte poreless priming perfector and buffed in Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24hr Foundation in 14. To highlight and brighten her t zones I used Kevyn Aucoin sensual skin enhancer in 14 and a pinch of 13. This was set using YSL soufflé d’eclat loose powder in 04 and the rest of her face with MAC mineralise skin finish in Dark deepest.
On her cheeks I dusted a mix of MAC blushes in Ambering rose and Lovejoy to give her cheeks a rosy glow. Extra glow was added using Bobbi brown shimmer brick in Bronze.
The Whole look was finished off on the lips with OCC lip tar in Stalker.
Moving on to the white wedding ceremony, after hairstylist – Deborah Lola finished styling her hair, I toned down the pink on her under eye only. I wanted to change the eye look but she loved it so much and preferred to keep it.
I then powdered down any shine on her face which was not much, just at the side of her nose and a little on her chin.
Red lips was taken off and I lined the outer corners of her lips for definition using MAC lip pencil in Chestnut. I then applied MAC lipstick in peach stock, a beautiful beige colour which was finished off with a clear gloss for a sultry finish.
Jumoke looked absolutely stunning in her lace gown custom designed for her by Alonuko.
Thank you Jumoke for being such a wonderful client. Wishing you a beautiful married life.
