I’ve known stunning Adesuwa for a while now as I’ve been booked for her makeup on a number of events. She booked my services for her destination wedding in Lake Como, Italy. I was booked for 3 days, pre-wedding party, all day wedding day and post wedding party. My makeup team was also booked for her…wait for it…16 bridesmaids!
We had a trial a couple of weeks before the wedding as Adesuwa likes her makeup done in a certain manner. She’s a brown smokey eye kind of lady but was considering some colourful looks and wanted to see how it would look on her.
I arrived Lake Como with my team on Friday morning, after resting I made my way to Adesuwa’s hotel – The Castadiva Resort & Spa for her prewedding party makeup. I created a turquoise green smokey eye look to go with her bold neck piece. Due to timing restraints I didn’t have time to take any image of this 🙁
On her wedding day, my team and I made our way to her hotel. While my assistants worked on her 16 bridesmaids I made my way to her room and began work.
Adesuwa has normal to almost dry skin. I cleansed her skin and massaged in a pea sized amount of Embryolisse lait creme concentrate.
Her brows were micro-bladed so I didn’t do much as she wanted to keep the shape. I only added minimal light strokes to fill in any gap.
I then used MAC paint pot in Constructivist all over her lid to act as a base before creating this eye look using just Lorac pro eye palette (The original version). This was finished off with some glam mink lashes.
Moving on to the skin, I moisturised again with Embryolisse before applying using my fingers – BECCA ever matte priming perfector.
Foundation used was Lancome Teint Idole ultra and concealer – NARS creamy concealer. This was set using Laura mercier loose setting powder in Translucent followed by MAC studio fix powder.
Blush used was MAC format followed by So Ceylon highlighter also from MAC. To contour I used MAC studio fix powder in NW55.
On her lips, I started with MAC lipliner in chestnut and I did mix some colours from my customised lip palette to create this stunning shade to suit her brief. This was finished with a clear gloss to maintain the lip colour shade.
Adesuwa looked like a dream! I did a mini video of the trip and looks which you can view here .
It was a pleasure to be a part of your special day Adesuwa, God bless you!
