I designed and created this look when I worked with an American Hair Brand on their UK Advertorial – CURLFORMERS. This Advertorial then went into a 6 page spread in Blackhair Magazine.

Obviously the White liner is more Editorial than Bridal and can be replaced with a dark kohl liner and the Lips can be tailored to suit the undertones of your skin.

When creating this look, I made my model’s eyes pop by using cool shades on her eyes to give out a contrasting effect against her skin. This also made it possible for her eyes to pop. And her beautiful Chocolate skin begged for a sultry fuchsia/purple lips which went well with her jewellery, clothing and background.

This is how I work with my clients, I firstly find out your best features and use a balance of colours to draw out your best features. For a bride with small eyes, I wouldn’t use a black kohl line all over the eyes, I have a selection of cream kohl liners that I pair with a black kohl to emphasize and make the eyes pop no matter how small your eyes are.

For sultry lips, no matter the size of your lips you can still wear colour. The key is using the right lip pencil for definition at the beginning. The right pencil can give the illusion of bigger lips or make big lips look smaller.
