My beauty team was booked for Shannon’s Destination Wedding at the breathtaking Amalfi coast, Naples, Italy.
Shannon, my American based bride was a 2015 bridal booking without a trial. She was having a 2 day multicultural wedding which involved a Traditional Indian Ceremony and a Traditional white Wedding. I love the fact she knew what she wanted and was such a Joy dealing with throughout the planning. I provided a hairstylist for her and bridal party.
We headed first thing Saturday morning to the airport to catch an early flight to Naples. Was met at the airport by her Chauffeur and driven to our breathtaking hotel which was just 3 minutes walk from the Amalfi beach. We spent the rest of the day exploring the village which was so beautiful!
The bride and my team met up for breakfast to discuss logistics for the day.
Later that day work began towards the Indian ceremony, I started on her Mum, younger sister then the bride.
Shannon’s makeup brief was her eyes to sparkle with a nude lip.
Her skin was normal with some dry areas. I added hydration with Embryolisse Lait cream and primed her skin using my latest obsession at the moment – Touche Éclat Blur primer by Yves saint Laurent. I use this primer only on clients with Dry to Normal skin.
Brows were groomed with MAC brow pencil in spiked. On her eyes I created drama as requested with a cut crease gold glitter eye look. Main products used was MAC eyeshadow in Amber lights and Urban Decay Heavy metal glitter eye liner in both distortion and midnight cowboy. I regretted not taking my Canon camera to the wedding as the pictures I took with my phone and small sony camera didn’t capture how beautiful this looked on her.
Foundation used was Lancome Teint Idole and Kevyn Aucoin Sensual skin enhancer which was also used as a highlighter for under her eyes. This was set with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder and MAC mineralized skin finish to the rest of her face.
Blush used was a mix of MAC fever and Devil blush. Her lips were lined with Nyx cosmetics lipliner in Dark brown and filled in with MAC lipstick in Half n half. This was blotted off gently as she wanted a real natural colour on her lips.
Shannon in her Indian traditional attire paired with glitter eyes I had created on her was a sight to behold as she walked down the streets to the ceremony. She looked absolutely stunning!
Now to the main day! We set up at her fabulous hotel – NH Collection Grand hotel Convento Di Amalfi
The only difference to her makeup from the Indian ceremony was her eyes. She wanted a softly smoked-out eye to compliment her colour scheme of Violet/Purple. I primed her eyes using MAC paint pot in constructivist and patted on Deep purple from the Lorac pro palette. This was blended out using MAC eyeshadow in Swiss chocolate and for depth I added Embark and Carbon eyeshadow both also from MAC.
She loved the natural lip colour I created from the Indian ceremony so I used the same colour again with a clear gloss added to the middle for an oomph effect.
A shame I had to leave as it was such a beautiful experience at Shannon’s Destination Wedding.
Many thanks Shannon for the trust and patronage. Wishing you a beautiful Married life.
