Rachel’s Destination Wedding – Florence, Italy
I was contacted and booked without a Trial by Rachel for her Destination Wedding taking place in Florence, Italy. I was booked for both hair and makeup.
To be honest, doing hair on a bride freaked me out a bit as I am known more for Makeup than hair which I prefer to leave to the professionals. Rachel only wanted hair down with loose tight waves which was pretty basic for me. Really loved how it turned out in the end.
My plane landed in Pisa Airport and I headed to Fiesole in florence where my accomodation was. It was lovely leaving London’s chilly weather but I don’t think I was ready for the Italian heat! It was so hot! As soon as I got to my room I turned up the Air con to the highest and was hesistant to leave my chilled room for even dinner. Glad I did at the end as the evening breeze was refreshing!
Next day, I arrived at stunning II Salviatino Hotel where Rachel was staying.
I set up and immediately started Makeup on the bridesmaids. I did all 5 of them, unfortunately due to time constraints I was unable to get individual shots of them when I finished each one.
Starting with Rachel, after prepping her skin I used MAC studio fix fluid foundation all over her face and the prolong wear concealer to hide blemishes and highlight under her eyes. This was set with Ben nye powder in Topaz and MAC blot powder.
Eyeshadow used was a mix of shades from my Lorac Pro palette. I was working on a tight schedule with 6 people so there was alot of mixing to get exact shades.
On her brows I used MAC brow pencil in Spiked.
For blush I used MAC Ambering Rose topped with Becca highlight powder in Topaz for extra glow.
On her lips, after lining with MAC lip pencil in Chestnut, I applied a mixed shade of Peachstock and Halfnhalf by MAC .
Her hair was put in bendy rollers overnight by her friend. I took them out and re-curled the whole hair with a good dose of Tresemme hold spray to hold the curls.
Really loved the final results, so did she!
Her dress was so lush! I was so much on schedule that we had loads of time to take pictures around the hotel.
With her beautiful bridesmaids.
Many thanks Rachel for the patronage, Wishing you all the best.
