I was contacted by Laura’s husband-to-be in panic as the Makeup Artist they had planned to use had pulled out. Luckily I had just become available due to a Commercial Photoshoot getting rescheduled.
A trial was not required however, we communicated via messages to finalise her visuals on her makeup.
On the wedding day I made my way to her prep location, set up and was ready to begin…
Her face was cleansed using Lancome Eau Micellaire Douceur (Express cleansing solution) and moisturised using my trusty Embryolisse lait creme concentre. I also used the moisturiser as her primer due to her skin type – Dry to Normal. Embryolisse can also be used as a primer for non-oily skin.
Her brows were groomed using Anastasia Beverly hills brow definer in Chocolate and dark brown, this was set using a clear brow gel.
Laura wanted a bold colour on her lips so I kept her eyes simple with MAC solar white eyeshadow blended out with MAC eyeshadow in Texture and the crease deepened using MAC embark. The eyes were finished with Ardell wispies and Lancome Artliner.
Foundation used was a mix of Lancome Teint Idole – 6 & 10. Under her eyes was brightened using Kevyn Aucoin sensual skin enhancer and set with YSL Souffle D’Eclat luxury Variant.
Her face was contoured using MAC mineralize skin finish in Dark and highlighted using Bobbi Brown highlighting powder in bronze glow. Blush used was MAC Style.
She had her own lip pencil and lipstick she had bought for the day to allow her touchup when I leave. I can’t remember the name but the same effect can be achieved with MAC lip pencil in burgundy and MAC lipstick in Hangup or Diva. No gloss was used.
Laura looked resplendent after she wore her dress!
Congratulations! Many thanks for the booking!
