Ijeoma’s Wedding

I was contacted by a lovely lady called Priscilla enquiring about my services for her friend – Ijeoma. Without a consultation I was booked for the wedding based on my body of work. I was also booked to stay the day with the bride.

On the wedding day, I arrived at The Premier Inn Hotel, Edmonton and set up to begin with her mother while the Talented hairstylist – Chrissy Bales prepped the bride’s hair.

When Ijeoma’s hair was done, I swiftly began work. Her skin was relatively dry so I spritzed over her face – MAC Fix+ spray and using my fingers, massaged in Embryolisse Lait-Creme concentrate. A little goes a long way and you can feel the skin beginning to soften. Love it!

Her brows were also very scarce so I filled in using gentle strokes – MAC brow pencil in spiked. I then brushed in MAC eyeshadow in swiss chocolate and finished off with a clear brow gel to keep the hairs in place.

On her eyes I began with my favourite base, MAC paintpot in Soft ochre and using a mix of MAC eyeshadows in Twinks, Carbon, Embark, Bronze and Swiss chocolate, I created a soft wash of colour that looked gorgeous against her skin. This was finished off with some liner and her own lashes.

Using a damp beauty blender sponge, I applied Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24hrs Foundation in a mix of 13 and 14. I concealed any blemishes and highlighted under her eyes using Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin enhancer in 12 and 13. Due to the dry nature of her skin I was very careful with the use of powders, I substituted my normal setting powder with MAC Mineralize skin finish in both Dark and Deep Dark which I applied using a big fluffy brush.

Blush used was a mix of MAC Fever and Dollymix. A Beautiful Golden sheen was added to her skin using MAC extra dimension skin finish in Shaft of Gold.
