Ajiri’s Wedding was organised and planned by Perfect Events Uk. The owner – Nicole contacted me a few months ago and I was booked without prior consultation as they were keen to use my services. I and Ajiri did meet up at her place for a trial much later to try out looks for her day.
On the wedding day, I made my way to Boreham House in Essex where I was set up in the Bridal Cottage.
Ajiri has dry skin, so I made sure after cleansing, her skin was well hydrated using Embryolisse lait-crème concentré. This was also done especially as my foundation of choice was MAC studio fluid foundation which I would never use on dry skin, but strangely, It worked perfectly on Ajiri’s skin!
I believe the key was hydration before foundation and not overly powdering the skin. I dusted MAC mineralize skin finish in Dark with a large fluffy brush instead of using a proper setting powder. I was with Ajiri the whole day and didn’t need to powder her skin till she needed to dance into the reception.
Her brows were quite scarce and she wanted bold brows which I drew in using MAC brow pencil in spiked.
On her eyes, I started with MAC paint pot in Soft ochre which I used as base and worked with various shades from the Lorac Pro eye shadow palette. Finished off with lining the eyes and Ardell Lashes in 120.
Blush used was MAC blush in Fever. For contour and highlight I used a palette from a new brand called – Colourblend contour palette in Dark. Been using the palette for a while and really love the pigmentation.
Her lips were lined with NYX lip pencil in Bloom and filled in with a customised pink shade specially for Her.
Really loved the finished look! Hair was done by Hair stylist – Papachichistyle and her dress was by Vera Wang.
