An absolute pleasure working on Titolope’s Wedding. I was booked for a whooping 10hrs stay so this post is image heavy!
My lovely bride Titilope booked me without a trial (majority of my wedding bookings this year did). We did have a phone consultation to discuss her preferred looks and I was sent various images detailing her preferred colours.
On the day I arrived at the beautiful venue – Northbrook Park to set up with my assistant who attended to the family members while I focussed on the bride.
Bride’s skin was cleansed, toned and hydrated before commencing on her actual makeup. Her brows were a bit sparse so I took care not to overfill fill them allowing a natural shape using Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow definer in Auburn and Chocolate.
After priming her eyes using my favourite primer – MAC paintpot in Soft ochre, I created a beautiful bronze-gold eye look using the Lorac pro eye shadow palette.
The bride had informed me of her concern with her skin so this was where the main focus was. She initially insisted on using the popular Milk of magnesia as her preferred primer, I personally do not like this product but allowed the bride apply it herself. I applied the foundation and there was an immediate grey cast on her skin! I wiped the whole thing off and used my own primer.
Boots No 7 Beautifully Matte primer was used on her entire face as she had very oily skin with large pores. This was followed by MAC full coverage foundation which I buffed into the skin using a damp beauty blender sponge. To highlight under the eyes I used the same MAC full coverage foundation but in a lighter shade and set with MAC studio fix powder in NC45 and the rest of the face MAC studio fix powder in NC50. This was a full coverage application and blending was the key to ensure it didn’t look heavy and the bride attested to that as she didn’t believe the foundation was full coverage, said it felt really light on her face.
The skin was finished off by softly defining her features by contouring using MAC mineralise skin finish in Deep dark – this was used as I didn’t want it looking heavy but light and highlighting using Becca shimmering skin perfector in a mix of opal and topaz. MAC dollymix blush was softly swirled all over the cheeks and blended out.
Titilope wanted soft baby pink lips without it looking too pale so I first lined the lips using MAC lip pencil in Whirl and filled in using a mix of MAC lipstick in Please me and Lovelorn from the Preferred pink lip palette.
The whole look was finished with a slight dusting using a big brush – MAC blot powder in Dark across her T-zones.
I do have the most stunning brides!
With her stunning bridesmaids…Who can spot Mo Farah’s Wife 😉
The lovely Couple!
Many thanks for the booking Titilope, Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!
