Tifanny’s Wedding was an early 2015 booking without a trial. She was such a pleasure to work with!
A few days to the wedding I was informed about a bad break out and discolouration to her skin. She was quite upset but I did manage to calm her down, I am used to brides breaking out few days to the wedding caused by stress or other factors.
On the wedding day, I made my way to her location where I arranged my setup at the back garden due to the lovely weather and more importantly the amount of people in the house. With a whooping 10 bridesmaids on her bridal party they had 3 other makeup artists and hairstylists, including close friends and relatives coming in and out. Felt so lucky getting the best spot to set up 🙂
I started work on her Mum, then chief bridesmaid before commencing on the bride.
Tiffany did have a good amount of discolouration on her face so I knew instantly it was going to be a full coverage makeup for her.
She had already cleansed and moisturised her skin with her recommended products so I began with a good spray of MAC fix + all over the face.
I groomed her brows using Anastasia brow definer in Dark brown and MAC eyeshadow in Embark.
On her eyes was a mix of eyeshadows from my Lorac pro eyeshadow palette, this was finished off with a liner and lashes.
Moving on the skin which was her main concern, I started by priming her t- zones using Becca ever matte poreless priming perfector and the rest of the face with Smashbox photo finish foundation primer.
I then started the time consuming task of using a small pencil brush to cover each dark spot on her face with an orange corrector. It’s never a good idea to use a large brush to save time, the orange corrector is quite pigmented and could cause the foundation to look orange if used on areas that do not require the product.
Foundation and concealer used was a combination of Lancome Teint Idole, MAC full coverage foundation and MAC studio fix foundation. This gave her a beautiful flawless full coverage that still felt really light and weightless.
For definition I lightly contoured the outer perimeter of her face and added subtle highlights to avoid her face looking too matte. Highlighter used was my classic favourite – Becca shimmering skin perfector in Topaz. Blush used was a mix of MAC blushes in peach twist and ambering rose.
The whole look was completed on the lips with chestnut lipliner to define the shape of the lips which was filled in with MAC lipstick in peachstock. Personally, I would have used a pink shade but Tiffany wanted this colour.
Tifanny looked breathtaking in her dress especially surrounded by 10 bridesmaids all in white!!
Received this beautiful message from Tifanny 2 days later – “Good morning Joy! I cannot thank you enough for the amazing work you did on my mum, my MOH and myself for my big day. I felt absolutely beautiful, could not stop smiling the whole day! You’re not just a great makeup artist but also a lovely person. Thank you Joy Xxxx”
A pleasure Tifanny!
Thank you so much for the patronage 🙂
