Sheun first contacted me regarding her Destination Wedding late 2015. Weeks later, one of her Wedding planners – 2706 Events took over and finalised the booking. The wedding was co-ordinated by both 2706 events and Exclusive Italy Weddings.
I was booked to provide both Makeup and Hair services for the bride, 9 bridesmaids and brides mum. I travelled down with a member of my beauty team whom I booked for the brides hair and some of the bridesmaids.
Sheun’s destination Wedding was held in Bari, Italy. We travelled down a day before the wedding and left a day after the wedding.
On the wedding day we arrived at the brides beautiful villa at Castello Monaci, Puglia. The ceremony was also held at the same location.
We started work on the bridesmaids then I moved on to working on Sheun’s mum before commencing work on Sheun the bride.
Her skin was cleansed and lightly hydrated using just MAC fix + spray. Sheun had a few discolorations which were easily counteracted with a rich orange corrector.
Brows were filled in using MAC brow pencil in Spiked and a clear brow gel to keep the hair in place. Her eyelids were primed using MAC paint pot in Soft ochre, eyeshadows used – Woodwinked, Amberlights, Swiss chocolate, embark and Carbon all by MAC. This was finished off by Ingot gel liner in 77. Sheun already had individual lashes installed.
Her skin was prepped with Becca ever matte poreless primer, then Lancome Teint Idole foundation in 13 was buffed in using a Real techniques expert face brush and blended in further using a beauty blender sponge.
MAC prolong wear concealer in NW40 was used to brighten under her eyes, I also added LA girl pro hd concealer in Fawn for extra highlight under the eyes. This was set using Yves Saint Laurent souffle d’eclat loose powder 04 and the rest of the face with MAC studio fix foundation in Nw45 very lightly.
Blush used was MAC Dolly mix. Bride didnt want too much contouring and highlighting so I applied very lightly – Becca shimmering perfector in Topaz with my fingers.
The whole look was finished on the lips with NYX slim pencil in Dark brown which was used to add definition to her lips and a mix of pink lipsticks from MAC lip palette in preferred pinks.
Sheun was a sight after she wore her wedding dress! She looked absolutely stunning!
I didn’t travel with my professional canon camera, hence no sharp images like my previous post. So a big thank you to the official wedding photographer – Jide Odukoya for the stunning pictures he sent me. These all have his logo – Jide Odukoya on them.
For Sheun’s second dress change, it was a mini battle trying to convince her to change the look. She loved the morning look so much and wanted to keep it for the second look.
I was able to convince her to let me add a bit of glitter to compliment her beautiful dress! Glitter used was Urban decay’s Heavy Metal Glitter eyeliner in Midnight cowboy. I then added MAC lipglass in Nymphette to the lips for extra oomph!
A pleasure working with this beautiful lady and family. Thank you for the beautiful message sent the very next day, really appreciate the gesture 🙂
