Oyinda’s Wedding

I was contacted regarding Oyinda’s wedding by her Chief bridesmaid – Krystal in 2015. I was then booked without a trial for her Traditional wedding, White wedding and bridal party of 8. The weddings were on separate dates.

Few weeks to the wedding I had a consultation session with the bride – Oyinda who arrived with her lovely mum. Oyinda has to be one of my calmest brides this year, very easy going and just a beautiful person.

For her traditional Wedding I travelled down to her prep location in Sutton, Surrey where the event was also taking place. I worked on her mum first before moving on to the bride.

Oyinda’s outfit was a beautiful yellow gold lace paired with a white gele (head gear) in yellow gold embroidery and a stunning coral neckpiece. I decided to compliment her outfit with hues of gold, coral and orange.

I prepped her skin using just MAC fix plus spray, I have to add that on this day, the weather was extremely hot!  So I avoided too much products on her skin.

Her brows were filled in using MAC brow pencil in Spiked. On her eyes using my Juvia’s place nubian second edition eye palette, I used mainly the shades – Nairobi, Nefertiti, Morocco and Kenya. I then finished up with gold glitter added to the middle of the lid which jazzed up the entire look. The eye look was finished off with Mink lashes for an oh la la effect.

Moving on the skin, I primed her skin using Becca ever-matte poreless priming perfector and foundation used was Lancome Teint Idole 24hrs foundation in a mix of 11 and 13. Under her eyes was brightened using MAC prolong wear concealer in Nw40 which was set using RCMA no colour loose powder. I also used this to set the rest of the face.

Blush used was MAC blush in Devil and Bobbi brown shimmer brick in Nectar.

The whole look was finished off on her lips with MAC lipstick in Morange. Oyinda looked so stunning!

Moving on to her white wedding which was planned and coordinated by SD Weddings Management.

I arrived at her prep location which was her home. Went to check on my beauty team who were working on her bridal party of 8 including her mum. After making sure everything was on schedule I went to set up my kit.

The only difference in her look from the traditional wedding were changes made to the eyes, cheeks and lips.

On the eyes, I used my Lorac pro eye shadow palette to create a warm bronze hue that was flattering to her skin tone. I finished the eye look with Ardell Lashes in 120.

On her cheeks I used MAC blush in Devil and Becca shimmering skin perfector in Topaz.

Oyinda really loves the colour coral and orange on her lips. I lined her lips using NYX slim pencil in Dark brown and lipstick used was a sample Kryolan lipstick in coral I had received from a prior event. It looked nice but just a bit flat so I added a peachy coral shade to the middle of the lips for a soft ombre effect. Unfortunately I can’t remember the shade, It was a last minute decision before she wore her dress.

Just stunning! Hair by HairbyAbike.

With her beautiful bridal party, makeup by my beauty team.

Thank you so much Oyinda for the booking and being such a lovely person to work with. Wishing you a beautiful married life.
