My most requested look? ‘The Natural Make-up’ look. As seen on my lovely bride above.
There is nothing worse than caked on make-up on your wedding day, you want to look really fresh and Radiant. My task is to create a look that highlights your natural beauty.
Its also very important to note how natural you want your makeup…
– Au Natural on both the eyes and lips?
– A bit of colour on the eye paired with a nude lip?
– Skin toned eye make-up with more colour on the lips?
On the skin its better to stick to light weight products that have Longevity. Use the concealer only where needed.
Where eye make up is needed, depending on your skin tone, use mostly neutral shades with the darkest placed at the crease to give the eyes some definition. Mac cosmetics have one of the most amazing collection of bridal shades to suit any skin tone, namely Wedge, Patina, Woodwinked, Amber lights, Tempting, Shroom, Mulch, Embark etc I could go on and on. Finish with a liner and 2 coats of mascara.
On the lips, depending on your skin tone again, use nude pinks, nude browns etc. Bobbi brown is your brand for nude lip shades. This includes Italian rose, Rose petal, Heather buff, Nectar, Honey suckle, Pink ballet etc. You can keep it matte or dab a bit of gloss in the middle of your lips and blend out.
For blush, i do prefer creams on brides for that natural glowing effect but for longevity its advised to pat on a cream blush and layer with a powder formula.
Remember to keep any product with shimmer just on the top of your cheekbones and bridge of your nose. Anywhere else and it will catch all the negative light in your wedding photos.
Hope this helps….
