Natalie contacted and booked me early this year without requiring any trial at all. We communicated via emails regarding the look she wanted which was something quite soft and natural.
On the wedding day I travelled down with Mary from Papachichistyle to Froyle Park, Alton. While Mary started on her hair, I did my set up.
When the hair was half way finished I began work on Natalie.
Natalie has quite normal skin so I cleansed using Garnier Micellar Water followed by a spray of MAC fix + all over her face. Her lips were then prepped using Kiehl’s Lip Balm 1.
My bride is blessed with lovely thick brows so I didn’t really do much, I just filled in any visible gaps using Anastasia brow powder in Chocolate and MAC brow gel in show off.
This eye look was created primarily with The Balm eyeshadow palette in Nude dude. Natalie actually did not request for glitter on the eyes but I spotted her dress which was literally made out of a glitter based fabric. Seeing this, I suggested a hint of glitter added to the eyes. The makeup was already so simple and I feared the dress would heavily overshadow her makeup.
Natalie was a bit hesitant so I added just a little bit of Urban Decay Glitter liner in Midnight cowboy and sent her to the bathroom to have a look. To my delight she loved the idea and even requested for more glitter to be added 🙂 This was finished up with mink lashes.
Moving to the rest of the face, I moisturised using Glamglow mega illuminating moisturiser followed by Becca Ever matte primer applied only to the areas of the face prone to shine. NARS All day luminous foundation was buffed into the skin followed by NARS creamy concealer in Amande to spot conceal any blemish and a mix of Amande and Caramel to highlight under the eyes. This was set using RCMA no colour loose setting powder. I then used a fluffy brush to apply MAC studio fix powder in NC50 all over the face and down her neck.
On her cheeks I applied MAC blush in Dreamy followed by Becca shimmering skin perfector in Topaz. To define her features I used Smashbox contour kit in Deep.
MAC lipliners in Cork and Whirl was used to line her lips followed by Half n half lipstick and a clear lipgloss.
I had to leave as soon as I was done to avoid traffic but her photographer – Adebayo Deru was kind enough to send me this image! Thank you Adebayo!
It was a pleasure working with you Natalie, God bless.
