My International Bridal Inspiration

My International Bridal Inspiration Beauty shoot was featured in Uk’s Top selling Black Magazine – Blackhair Magazine and the images went mega viral across Social Media!

I have always been fascinated by brides of different ethnicities. Their outfits, makeup, hair and the ceremony. I decided to pick 3 of my favourites to recreate on a shoot with an amazing team.

The Chinese bride

Being fortunate to work on a Chinese bride sometime ago, my fascination with traditional brides of other ethnicities began. Their traditional chinese bridal attire with the headpiece was just beautiful!

Achieving the Makeup Look – Skin was prepped using my favourite moisturizer – Embryolisse lait-creme £13. MAC Matchmaster Foundation £29 was buffed in and imperfections concealed with MAC Studio finish concealer £15.50. Set only the tzones with Bobbi Brown Sheer finish powder £19.

On the eyes is a mix of M.A.C free to be and Coppering eyeshadows £12.50 with Urban Decay glitter eyeliner in Midnight cowboy £14 applied over the top. Finish off with a bold liner and strip lashes to further enhance the eyes.

Her lips were lined using  M.A.C lip liner in Cherry £12.50 followed by M.A.C lipstick in Red £15.50 with a clear gloss over the top for a sultry effect.

The South African Bride (My absolute favourite!)

The colours and vibrance of their bridal pieces are  just breathtaking! This inspired my using jewel toned colours on her eyes and lips to compliment the jewellery.

Over the lids pat on Makeup Geek foiled eyeshadow in Flame thrower £7.95 and using a pencil brush apply Makeup Geek Eyeshadow in Sin City to the inner tear ducts to give eyes some sparkle!

On the cheeks softly apply MAC blush in Ambering rose £18.50 and blend towards the hairline.

Line lips with MAC lip pencil in Burgundy £12.50, apply Anastasia Beverley hills liquid lipstick in Heathers and finish off with M.A.C Vamplify – Modern Drama.

The Hawaiian Bride

With so much colours on the Chinese and south african bride, I wanted to create something fresh and clean for brides who are not comfortable with so much vibrance. I used pink in various hues to create a glow from within look on my stunning model.

On the lids, apply from Makeup Addiction Cosmetics Flaming Love Palette £25, the shade Eden all over lids and blend out with a mix of Savannah Dessert and Brownie. Finish off with Makeup Addiction lashes in Date night £7 for a natural looking lash line.

Swirl M.A.C blush in Dollymix £18.50all over the cheeks with a dusting of Bobbi Brown shimmer brick in Rose £33 for added glow.

Finish off on the lips with M.A.C lipstick in a mix of Pretty Please and Lovelorn from the Preferred Pink Palette £35.
