My lovely bride Cherry first contacted me towards the end of 2016 to book my services for her wedding ceremony. This was meant to be a booking for only the after wedding ceremony taking place in London with the main ceremony being held outside the UK. She later booked me to fly over for the main ceremony in Paphos, Cyprus as well.
To be honest, I initially didn’t want to travel as my birthday was a day after the wedding and didn’t fancy being stuck on an easyjet plane on my birthday. But my wonderful bride – Cherry was having none of that! She booked me an extra night so I spend my birthday in Paphos. Did I mention she put me up in a 5star hotel and location of the wedding – Annabelle hotel. Like do I have the best brides or what??? 🙂 🙂
On the morning of the wedding, a beautiful day with the sun out as early as 9am. I made my way to the bridesmaids room to work on 2 of the bridesmaids, mother of the groom and mother of the bride. Then back to brides room to begin work on Cherry.
Cherry has combination to oily skin so I used just MAC fix plus spray for hydration after cleansing. Her eyebrows are tattood on so I used a red brown eyeshadow – Swiss chocolate by MAC to diffuse the colour. Her eyelids were primed using MAC paintpot in Laying low.
I already knew she was wearing a bold lip so I used neutral shades – MAC All that glitters, Woodwinked and Patina and gently smoked it out using MAC embark and carbon. I finished off on the eyes with a liner which I winged out and glam lashes. I believe she’s wearing a pair from Soul lashes.
Cherry’s skin was firstly prepped with Smashbox photofinish primer at the outer perimeter of her face and then Becca’s Ever matte Poreless primer on the inner perimeters to keep her makeup matte under the hot sun. Foundation used was NARS All day luminous weightless foundation in shade New guinea. I concealed and highlighted under her eyes using NARS creamy concealer in a mix of Amande and Caramel which was set with Laura mercier loose translucent powder. The rest of her face was powdered with MAC studio fix powder in NC55 as she wanted full coverage.
Blush used was MAC blush in Ambering rose and highlighted using Becca shimmering skin perfector in topaz. Contour used was MAC studio fix powder in NW55.
Cherry is not a fan of glossy lips and had already warned me she preferred matte liquid lipsticks so I did travel with a selection. We ended up going with Limecrime matte velvetine in Wicked, a gorgeous blood red liquid lipstick that looked perfect on her.
My bride looked sensational walking down the aisle in her gorgeous gown!
I did plan to capture loads of behind the scenes with my camera for this blog post, but carrying my heavy camera in that heat with the rest of my kit was not easy so I just used my snapchat and Instagram live feed to document the whole experience. Unfortunately these go off after 24hours 🙁 To follow me my handle is – joyadenuga on both snapchat and Instagram 🙂
Thank you so much Cherry for being a dream client! Wishing you a blessed married life.
