Joy’s Wedding was beautifully planned by Perfect Events Uk. I was booked immediately with a consultation put in place weeks later to meet the client – Joy, discuss and try out looks for the day.
On the wedding day, I arrived at her prep location at the Park Plaza Hotel, Westminster as early as 6.40am to set up with my Beauty team who attended to her Mum and Chief bridesmaid.
Joy had combination skin with predominately dry skin around her cheeks and forehead, to combat this, using my fingers I massaged in my favourite moisturiser – Embryolisse Lait-cream concentre. I applied this before starting on the eyes to allow the product sink into the skin.
Her brows were filled in using MAC brow pencil in Spiked and Embark eyeshadow.
Using all lorac pro eyeshadows I created a mix of champagne and gold hues to compliment her gorgeous eyes, this was finished off with Ardell strip lashes in 120 which framed her eyes giving it an oomph factor! Bride couldn’t stop looking at her eyes in the mirror 🙂
Moving on to the skin, I used more Embryolisse on the dry areas and smash box photo finish foundation primer on the oily areas. Foundation used was Lancome Teint Idole in 14 and 15 with Kevyn Aucoin Skin enhancer in 13 and 14 used to highlight under her eyes, this was set using MAC studio fix foundation in NW40 and the rest of her face with MAC blot powder and Mineralize skin finish in Deep Dark and Dark deepest.
On her cheeks I used a cream blush from my Graftobian cream blush palette called cherry graze and lightly set it with MAC blush in Dolly Mix. With her dry skin I was conscious of not over powdering. I then used my fingers to pat on Becca shimmering skin perfector in Topaz for a beautiful sheen that just made her skin sparkle!
The whole look was finished off on the lips by firstly lining with NYX slim pencil in dark brown and filling in with Chanel lipstick in Kensington and the brides personal lip gloss.
I gave her face a few sprays of Skindinavia bridal makeup finishing spray and she was ready. Her hair was by Mary of Papachichistyle.
This was my longest booking this year, a whooping 14hours. Joy changed to beautiful pink traditional outfit which I was unable to capture on camera due to how late it was. The look can be viewed in the video below…
