Winnie’s Wedding

Enquiries for Winnie’s wedding first came in mid 2016 via her sister – Chanel. I was then booked a few months later without a trial. A consultation was arranged some months before the wedding where I met Chanel and my bride – Winnie. The look was finalised.

Her wedding location was the fabulous Hylands house based in Chelmsford, Essex.

After her hair was prepped, I began her makeup by cleansing and hydrating her skin. Winnie is blessed with beautiful full brows and she didn’t want them looking over done. I filled any empty gaps using Anastasia Beverly Hills brow definer in medium brown and brushed through using a clear brow gel.

The inspiration to this look came from a past bride so I basically used the same palette – Violet Voss The holy grail eye shadow palette to recreate the look yet tailor-make it to suit Winnie’s eyes as she wanted more pink and less gold.

The eye look was finished off with Ingot gel liner in 77 and OTS lashes in ”Aiyah”.

Winnie has combination to oily skin, I used my fingers to apply Ponds vanishing cream (very oily) to her entire face.

Foundation used was NARS all day luminous weightless foundation in a mix of New guinea and Macao. To brighten under her eyes I applied NARS creamy concealer in a mix of Amande and caramel. This was set using Laura Mercier loose setting powder in Translucent.

Winnie’s face was literally made for contour, I used MAC studio fix powder in Nw55 to add definition to her face. To add more light and shine to her face I applied Becca shimmering skin perfector in Topaz and a hint of Bobbi brown shimmer brick in bronze.

This image does not do justice to how Winnie was radiating after this step. MAC’s blush in Dollymix completed this step.

On her lips I started with MAC lip liner in Chestnut followed by Delilah cosmetics lipstick in Grace. A clear lip gloss added to just the middle of the lips finished off the makeup.

Her dress was by London bridal wear designer – AloNuko.
