Tolani’s Wedding
Can I just start by saying I’ve never met a bride like Tolani who was on cloud 9 on her wedding day. Her smile and a beautiful disposition on her special day definitely rubbed off on a lot of people. I left her home with a huge smile on my face!
Tolani contacted me a few months ago and a trial was arranged to discuss her bridal makeup look. During the trial she was torn between staying neutral or going for a gold based look. We did pick the neutral toned look after trying both looks.
On the wedding day I arrived and Tolani made the decision to go with the gold based look though she was still reserved about it. I decided to do a mix of gold and champagne shades which she absolutely loved when I was done. Main eye shades used were MAC cosmetics Amber light and Woodwinked.
She had a few discolorations on her face which I colour corrected before applying a mix of MAC studio fluid foundation in both NW45 and NW50. For extra coverage, I set this with MAC studio fix powder in both NW45 and 50. This was applied with a big fluffy brush to avoid packing on too much product.
Her under eyes were highlighted with MAC pro long wear concealer in NW40 and set with Ben Nye powder in Topaz.
I gently contoured her face using Sleek contour kit in dark and highlighted with Becca highlight powder in Topaz. Blush used was a mix of MAC amber rose and breezy blush.
The whole look was finished by lining the lips with MAC lip liner in Soar and Anastasia Beverly hills liquid lipstick in Pure Hollywood. I then added a slick of pink gloss to the middle of the lips and gently blended out.
Really loved the finished look.
