Moyo’s Wedding booking came in through her sister and was booked without a trial.
On the wedding day, I made my way to her prep location – The Dorchester, while a member from my beauty team was sent to her Mother’s residence to glam her up.
Moyo made me feel so welcome when I arrived and ensured I had a glass of juice and a croissant while she finished up on her hair.
Can I just say at this point that all my brides this year so far have been just amazing! A pleasure to work with till the end!
After hair was prepped, I started on cleansing and priming Moyo’s skin with Bioderma sensibio H2O and a spray of MAC fix + spray. Her skin was combination to oily so I was conscious of not adding too much products to her skin.
Moyo wanted gold on her eyes so I used one of my favourite Bronze gold shades – Amber Light by MAC. This just made her eyes light up especially when I added lashes – Ardell Wispies ( my favourite lashes for brides).
Her brows were filled in and shaped using a mix of MAC brow pencils in Stud and spiked.
Before Foundation I applied Becca ever matte poreless priming perfector to her T-zones before buffing in Lancome Teint Idole foundation in a mix of 13, 14 and 15. I then concealed using MAC full coverage cream foundation applied with my fingers to only the areas of her face with blemishes. Under her eyes was highlighted using MAC pro long wear concealer in NW45 with a pea sized amount of Fawn from LA girl pro concealer.
I set this using Yves Saint laurent Souffle declat loose powder in 04 and the rest of her face with MAC studio fix powder in a mix of NW45 and 50.
Blush used was MAC raizin and Becca shimmering skin perfector in Topaz.
Her lips were firstly lined with MAC lip pencil in chestnut and filled in with a mix of MAC lipsticks from the Pro lip palette in preferred pinks. I cannot say the exact shades used as we mixed to get a perfect hue that suited her skin tone.
For her second outfit change, I only added more purple to her lips for drama. Again I cannot say the exact shade used as we mixed some colours to get the exact tone she wanted.
A pleasure working with you Moyo, thank you so much for being such a wonderful client.
