Mo’s Wedding

Mo’s Wedding was a 2015 booking without a trial. A lot of my brides have come to trust me to deliver their brief and dream wedding look without a trial. Building such trust is very valuable to me.

Her wedding took place at the fabulous Alexander House hotel & Utopia Spa where she also booked the beauty team to stay overnight. She made us feel very welcome and also offered us a spa session which was so kind of her.

On the wedding day, I went up to her bridal suite to set up after making sure a member of my beauty team was setup to work on her bridesmaids.

I started with her mum and mother in law before beginning work on the bride.

After her skin was cleansed, toned and hydrated I filled in her brows using Anastasia Beverly hills brow definer in Dark brown and a bit of Auburn to avoid the colour being too dark.

Her eyes were primed using MAC paint pot in constructivist and I used all MAC eyeshadows – Bronze, Twinks, Woodwinked, Swiss chocolate, Embarked and Carbon to create warm hues that made her eyes pop! This was finished off by Lining both top and waterline using Inglot gel liner in 77. Bride already had individual lashes installed.

Now to my favourite part – her skin! Her skin was prepped using Lancome La base pro and her pigmentations corrected using MAC corrector in Orange.  I had already prepared Black opal foundation to use but changed my mind to using Lancome Teint Idole Ultra in 14, I applied it using real techniques expert face brush and buffed it further in using a damp beauty blender sponge.

To brighten the inner perimeter of her face I used MAC pro long wear concealer in NW40 which was set using Laura Mercier secret brightening powder in 02 to set. I then finished off on her face by using a mix of MAC studio fix powder in Nw45 and 50.

I then added definition to her face using using MAC studio fix powder in Nw58. To give her face that beautiful glow I used a fan brush and dusted Becca shimmering skin perfector in topaz and MAC blush in raizin.

To finish off the whole look her lips were lined using MAC lipliner in Chestnut and filled in using MAC lipstick in Lovelorn.

Mo looked absolutely sensational!! Received this message a day after the wedding – “Joy, Thank you and your assistant for doing a brilliant job in making us look like a dream! You have a talent that needs o be celebrated and we are certainly doing just that! Hopefully we will work together soon! All the best and may God bless you xxx”

Thank you so much Mo it was an absolutely pleasure working with you and family.

Hair provided and styled by Chrissy Bales.
