Esther’s Wedding

Esther’s Wedding was held at the much-loved Wedding location – Hylands house, Chelmsford. She booked my services for both herself and bridesmaids back in June 2015 without a trial but we had a phone consultation a few weeks to the wedding to discuss her looks and logistics.

On the day I arrived with my beauty team for the bridesmaids. I then set up at the bridal suite and began work on the bride after her hair was partially done.

Her skin was prepped and I started on her brows, Esther wanted her brows “on fleek” as she described. I achieved this using MAC brow pencil in Spiked and eyeshadow in embarked/swiss chocolate.

I can’t give the exact colours used on her eyes as we switched it up several times to get the exact hue she wanted, but I know some of the shades were from my MAC eyeshadow palette – Sushi flower, Woodwinked and some from my Lorac pro eyeshadow palette – Lt bronze and champagne. Finished the eyes with liner and lashes.

Moving on to the skin, Esther had quite a bit of wrinkles under her eyes so I was careful not to use too much products under her eyes to prevent too much creasing.

Foundation used – Lancome Teint idole in 12 and 13, MAC pro long wear concealer in NW40 was used to highlight under eyes and this was set using MAC studio fix powder in a mix of NW40 and NW45 .

The rest of the face was set using MAC studio fix powder in NW45 and I added NC50 for a bit of yellow tone to match her neck.

Definition and shine was added to her face using ColorBlend makeup contour palette in Medium/Dark. Blush used was MAC blush in a mix of Dollymix and Ambering Rose.

The whole look was finished off on the lips, I firstly outlined the lips using MAC lipliner in Currant and filled in with MAC lipstick in Lovelorn. She wanted the pink on the lips to pop more, this was achieved by adding MAC Candy yum yum to the middle of the lips and softly blending out.

I was really happy with the overall look, so was the bride as I received a message the very next day from Esther that she didn’t take her makeup off and they lasted well into the next day! Wow!!!!!

PS – I will always advise makeup taken off at the end of the day 🙂

Thank you Esther for being such a lovely client, wishing you all the best!
