Buky’s Wedding

Buky was such a joy to work with! You need to have seen the excitement radiating from her on the wedding day!

She reached out to me late December 2016 about her wedding requiring a trial before booking.

We met up early January for trial and she booked that same week, I believe 2 days later.

On her wedding date I made my way to her prep location – Royal Horseguards Hotel. Waited for the hairstylist – Andree Marie to finish prep on the hair before commencing.

Buky’s skin is on the dry side so I massaged in a generous amount of Embryolisse lait cream. I let this sink into the skin while I worked on her eyes.

Her brows were filled in using MAC brow pencil in Spiked and stud as she wanted them quite sharp and much darker. MAC paintpot in laying low was applied across the eyelids as a primer. Regarding eyeshadows used, during the trial we choose a mix of MAC passionate and sushi flower but she now wanted a particular shade of pink with a darker hue so I added MAC eyeshadow in Embark and a hint of carbon till we arrived at this shade. I named it “The Buky Pink”. Strips of mink lashes completed the look.

Moving back to the face, I applied a bit more Embryolisse to act as a base and a touch of smash box photo finish primer was applied to the nose and forehead for shine control.

Foundation used was NARS luminous foundation in a mix of New guinea and Macao. Undereye concealer used was NARS creamy concealer in Amande with a little caramel for added brightness. This was set very lightly with Laura mercier Loose setting powder in Translucent. I also used this sparingly on a big face brush to set the whole face.

Blush used was MAC blush in Dollymix. Her face was contoured using MAC mineralize skin finish in Dark deepest and highlighted using Becca shimmering skin perfector in Topaz.

Her lips were softly lined using MAC lipliner in Cork and filled in with MAC lipstick in Halfnhalf. A slick of MAC lipgloss in Nymphette finished off the whole look.

Buky looked sensational in her beautiful dress! The neckpiece though, Wow!

Thank you so much for the booking 🙂 It was a pleasure.
